The House on the Beach

The House on the Beach

Imagine escaping for an immersion by the seaside without making any concessions to your comfort. Imagine that you are in a wooden house which allows you to be in symbiosis with yourself and with nature. Imagine a space designed with care and rigour, a customisable space, adapted to your taste and needs.

Chafik, with his co-winners CPLG Architects, has created "the truancy school", a school in the woods in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, for which he also designed the furniture and a spectacular covered courtyard in the nuances of autumn leaves.

Chafik Studio and CPLG Architects participated in the rehabilitation of the Square des Cardeurs in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. Chafik created for the occasion a monumental staircase in a very musical rhythm made of metal.

Chafik took part in the rehabilitation of the Museum of Modern Arts of Algiers, a neo-Moorish building built in 1909. Inaugurated in 2007 and located in the heart of the capital, it is part of: "Algiers, capital of Arab Culture of 2007”, promoted by the Algerian Minister of Culture Khalida Toumi.
